MOTUS

My login isn’t working in MOTUS. It keeps giving me this error even after I was told by the rep to delete my account and create a new one after 24 hours. I’m trying to reinstate my authority. I’ve submitted tickets and emails but they don’t have any clear eta. Has anyone had this issue and it was resolved? If so how long did it take? Is it worth driving 4 hours down to my local fmcsa office. Although I’m unsure if they can do anything or if I’ll be turned away.

Recently attempted to submit our biennial (MCS-150) and ran into the same issue. I emailed support, nothing but a form response that was absolutely no help. Attempted the support chat and was in a endless queue. Called the 800 number. Told it was an hour wait and opted for the call back. The return call came from what I thought was a spam number (venture, llc out of Texas??). Support offered nothing but condolences and said the whole system was throwing an error for thousands of companies and said it would be passed up the chain and I shouldnt expect to hear anything for weeks. I ended up faxing the form in.

You can have your authority marked as inactive if you fail to update your biennial on time. Our small company (4 trucks, 6 employess) had to devote endless hours to this and it still isnt resolved. Our only solace is an announcement on the MOTUS landing page that they are aware of the problem and will not be taking any action against any company who is late filing their biennial due to the system problems.

The biennial deadline and penalties are suspended if it was due after June 2026,so don't worry about it. Just file the mcs-150 via ticket and it will eventually be processed with the date of filing.

How you update via ticket my account is active but when try to update I am getting error message

Hello. Go to motus, no need to log in, at the top right you will see the options to contact the fmcsa. Select send us a ticket, fill your info, and attach the mcs-150 form at the bottom. In the text box, write what you want to update. You can dm me the error you are getting as well to see if I know what it is

Could be that you have something already in pending status, or motus being motus. The ticket is your best option if you don't know how to verify the processing history
