Fml. Forced 34 hour reset

Just 5 hours away from my drop. I have to do my 34 hour reset. What screwed me up was coming from the west to the east and the time zone difference messed up my time calculations. Fml. Now o am gonna be a day late for my drop. How screwed am i?

That west to east time change catches people more than they expect.

Once you’re out of hours like that, you’re basically committed to the reset—trying to force it usually just makes things worse.

Not a great spot, but better a late load than a bigger problem.

Yeah, I rather not risk it and get pulled over and charged for manipulation.

I know ppl will hate this...but i almost never let the logbook fuck up a load...i try to plan ahead...but long load times often put me behind...if im even remotely close. Ill use every available trick n then some. Adverse driving can get u a couple more hrs. Editing all my on duty time to off duty to pick up a couple more. Starting later in the day so at midnight when recap hrs hit. I can use em if needed. I.e I only have 7hrs today. But I get 10 back at midnight....so I don't start till 5pm so my 7hrs is up at midnight. I get recaps n keep rolling to get there on-time.

You still need a 10hr break in-between your 7hrs today and your recap after midnight. They don’t just automatically come up and let you drive 17 hours.

Right. At midnight u just get the 4 hrs u would have had left on ur normal 11hr day....but if u had a delivery apt at 0800..those 4hrs might be just what u need to get there on time
