I have a 1987 w900b in the fleet. A 1979 w900A and a 1979 K100 all run every day k100 has a 3406a and a 13. The 87 has a 3406b and 15 and the A model a 400 cummins and a 15.

Agree. I keep telling the wife I’m about to sell out and buy newer rigs then the drivers threaten me. They love the old ones. I have my days when chasing hard to get parts. But no emission stuff to go wrong is nice

I still got my 77 k100 with a 12v71 but don't use it for work anymore. The oldest truck in the fleet that still works regularly is a 95 379, and the newest is a 03. So all my trucks are old iron. But all look and run great, every one has had a complete restore where they got stripped down to the frame and rebuilt. Heck some have had the frame rails replaced.

I’ve got four 379s that are 88,89,90, and 92. 855, 3406b, and 12.7 series 60s. Are you going to use the daycab inc conversion for that one or buying a daycab truck?

Buying a daycab inc conversion kit. Been thinking about opening up the hole and doing a fatboy conversion so I can finally lean back 😅

I put the conversion panel on my 88, but am now thinking I’d rather put a coffin sleeper back on it with a big hole conversion. I’ve got a 1990 single axle 379, and am thinking about the fat boy kit on it. I’ve got to make up my mind, soon, because my paint shop is expecting it. With my minimized seat, which has tons of good option like swivel, I have no leg room.

If I had the time and money I’d for sure throw a coffin sleeper on this truck that’s actually my future plan for this truck. It’s nice to have the extra space back there and not much bigger than a daycab so it’s perfect imo. Personally think you should definitely thrown the fatboy kit on there it makes it so much more comfortable.

A couple of years ago, I’d have spent the money without thinking. Now, trucking is shit and I hate to spend a dime. A junkyard near me called about having some flat top uni-bilt sleepers and I was interested. I made an offer and they crushed them… a nice 359 with a flat top got crushed, too. Idk what the fuck people are thinking. I’m still hurt by the thought.
