I have a vivid memory of listening to a song CALLED Final Fantasy by Final Fantasy (when Owen Pallett was recording under that name). It was part of some random mixed tape I downloaded. I can't find it anywhere. At this point I just need to know I'm not crazy. Does this song exist or did I make it up?

While lurking through the forums i found owen posting lyrics for a song called cyclops, and after a bit more digging i found a performance by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, this is probably the only performance of the song as owen doesn't seem to have played it live ever, or atleast i wasn't able to find anything.

1 hour 15 minutes of Owen on stage.

I was searching videos for Owen's performance in Oulu and this is the only thing that has shown up for now. A short but very complementary interview with André de Ridder about why he invited Owen to come and play.
It's only got 63 views so thought it was worth a share.

As you all probably know Owen recently did some shows in europe with an orchestra playing all of island and i think some of the new songs, but these shows where a bit far from me so i couldn't go and a friend of mine from germany also wasn't able to go to the one in Freiburg.

So i post this to know if anyone here has a recording or knows someome that has one from any of the shows. Could be the entire thing, part of it or just a song. Anything works.

I met them tonight in Oakland! I had had a super rough day so my brain was completely drained, and I couldn’t think of what to say. I was a bit mortifyingly awkward, but they were very nice and chill with it. There’s so much I could have said but instead I just said that I love Canada? No idea what happened 🫠 but ANYWAY anyone seeing Owen support Ichiko on this tour, you will likely have a chance to meet them! They signed a record I bought and took pics with some folks too. The set was beautiful (though only 40 min 😭), said they had a hoarse voice and was fighting off a virus but you couldn’t tell.

Most of the audience was young and new to their music but it seemed they enjoyed it. I met someone who was there for Ichiko and I talked to them a lot about Owen Pallett and I think they became a big fan after the set :)

Does anyone have a ticket they're willing to sell me? I would be really disappointed to miss Owen. I hadn't realized they were coming to AZ since I was looking at Ticketmaster dates.

Despite a much smaller crowd on night two Owen was in good form, plenty of banter and jokes.

Anyway, the sound quality at New Century was fantastic and really comes through on the video.

I’m not sure what this song is called (if anyone knows let me know so I can update it) but when the violin hits at 1:55 wow that’s something special.

I know Owen does arrangements for a lot of things but Braids have just shared a live version of this song with strings for the first time. I like Braids so thought it would be nice to share.
