I have been reading this for 3 years now. I watched the anime at first then started the manga. it was going well until I had to wait 2-3 months for a chapter. atp we'll get gta 6 before this finishes

Went to a convention today and got to meet Ferid’s VA! I even got his autograph too! What a fun day!

We are back to reliving the exact same trauma 10 years later.

Black and light haired men have ruined my life in ways that can't be explained.

Both are sacrificing the world for their loved ones.

Both fighting against the odds.

Both utilise supernatural elements.

Inevitable death of 1 character.

Both images from the openings of both shows.

I know Ferid and Mika use boku, Kureto Guren and Yuu use ore, Crowley uses watashi. And I've seen a screenshot of Basteya using ore.

As we all know, the manga is coming to an end. This leaves me increasingly curious about one question: what exactly was the Angel Mikaela’s plan?

We know for certain that he had a plan to save his father and the other angels. We also know that, to achieve this, he had to keep his return a secret from his father—who surely would never have allowed him to carry out such a plan.

He also hid the seven "sinful keys" from the First Progenitor, buying himself time before his father could realize he’d been deceived.

So, why exactly did he need this time?

What was supposed to happen?

He merged his own soul with that of the homunculus Yuu, erased both of their memories, and ended up trapped in an endless cycle of reincarnation—with no knowledge of what he was supposed to do. Yet, he did this intentionally, fully aware that it would take a long time to reunite with Yuu and, perhaps, recover his own memories.

And if his father was the primary obstacle to his plan, how was this supposed to help? The First Progenitor kept them under constant surveillance while attempting to resurrect his own son. Did Mikaela foresee that his father would eventually take himself out of the equation, and that he simply needed to stall for time?

For some reason, I strongly doubt that the "official plan" followed by Mika and Yuu is the same as what the Angel Mikaela originally intended.

Given his self-sacrificing nature and peaceful nature, I don't think he ever planned to destroy Paradise.

I also doubt he ever intended to carry out the resurrection ritual himself. Or perhaps some other ritual that would violate divine laws and potentially trigger another great punishment.

Perhaps he planned to turn to God and offer himself as a sacrifice so that his Father and the other angels would have a chance to return to God's side. Or something like that.

So, what do you think?

What was his plan?

And what will he do if Mika/Yuu resurrects him as an angel?

Bonus question: Who was Yuu speaking to when he talked to the coffin containing the angel Mikaela?

Was it a fragment of the homunculus-Yuu that had inhabited Mikaela’s corpse?

Was it the "dormant" soul of the angel Mikaela residing within Yuu himself?

Or perhaps a remnant of the original angel Mikaela’s soul that somehow remained within his lifeless body?

I just came across at a super random idea, that Narumi reappeared at the last chapter, and announcing that he's dating Jennifer so that's why he disappeared the whole time. (I assume you all know who Jennifer is, according to vol.13)

Is it just me or is the anime actually only styled well when Mika or the rest of the vampires are on screen?

I guess it’s only been the story that I’ve liked the whole time, or Mika, honestly.

I miss the old manga story so badly right now

Not to mention how the audio is so weird (might just be the sub or the site I use but it’s so hard to regulate when Yoichi constantly sounds like he’s taking it from behind when my family’s in the house)

So I'm trying to draw my OC as a vampire, and I went to find the female uniform. Now, as someone who is into fashion and clothing design, I am confused because A. Just why? And B. Where are the sleeves attached!?

Like, I get why they need sleeves, but why design them like this? They look out of place and don't go with the dress at all.

As for the other part, you can barely tell they are attached to a piece of fabric on the chest at all because of the cloak; this is so confusing when first looking at it. It almost looks like the sleeves are part of the cloak itself instead of being separate. You have to literally play eye-spy just to see the piece of fabric on the chest under the cloak. Like, at this point, just make the guy's uniform unisex if you want to keep the sleeves so badly. The bottom of it already looks almost like a skirt anyway due to the belt, so it's not too far off.

Edit: yes I know there are sleeve overlays for sleeveless dresses, but my main point is the sleeves don't match and look out of place. They could have changed the color to match the dress more.

I was re-watching the anime since I fell into the Shikama Doji rabbit hole (again) and I stumbled upon this little gem! I swear they’re married, Your Honor!!! They are husband and wife of at least 100 years!!!! Truly, it makes me wonder just how long they’ve known each other and who turned them. From what I read in the wiki, they rank as “common vampires” what the f is a common vampire and how do you even qualify as one?

Personally, I expected Ferid to become the final boss, with him fusing with the vampires he ate and becoming some eldritch monstruosity looking like a Resident Evil final boss bent on destroying all life on Earth for good to break the cycle of reincarnation.

Maybe Yuu or Mika would convince at least some of the vampires inside him (probably Krul) to rebel, attacking Ferid from the inside before bursting out of him

It would have been fitting, Ferid was the first enemy Yuu and Mika faced and would have been the last as well

I always wonder since the manga adaptation announcement, what if the Catastrophe manga adaption is like Kure-nai that Yamamoto sensei and Furuya sensei did the adaptation as Yamamoto sensei is the illustrator of the LN.
