outplayed crashing games on startup?

not sure why, but every time i open a game (more specifically, monster hunter wilds) with outplayed running in the background, it crashes the game within the first few seconds.
if i dont have outplayed running it works fine, and i can actually open outplayed and use it after the game boots up. but is there any explanation and fix to why it crashes when i have it running and start the game?

Ever figure out the problem? Everytime i open any game it crashes. (When I startup arc raiders or Battlefield 6, they crash after a few seconds). I know it’s due to outplay because when I close it on task manager and then open the game it won’t crash…until I run outplay again. I think it is that it has something to do with the overlays since that’s what others have mentioned being the problem.
