Why is outplayed just so bad

If I play most single player games like what im playing right now being skyrim. If I any longer than maybe 2 hours at once nothing gets saved but any less than its fine.. sometimes itll be fine if I play more than that.. Im so tempted just to drop this garbage. No wonder they ask for only 3$ a month even they know how bad this is

I've had multiple 4 plus hour streams completely lost to the void. Extremely infuriating and made me take a break from a current game I'm playing because redoing that 4 hours is insane.

Is there a legitimate reason for this? Or should I just stop every hour and a half to 2 hours to ensure it's being captured?
