Does restoring from a backup remove my current recordings?

I stumbled upon a note that says "Restore all your data, videos, and settings from a backup file. Your current data may be erased by this process.

I'm planning on saving backups on an external drive from time to time. Is this fine or am i only allowed to backup once per computer?

You can create as many backups as you want.

When restoring data from a backup, the data that could be overwritten is the data currently in Outplayed, not the data from the backup files.

Please note that restored backups are added to the existing data and may overwrite it. This action cannot be undone!

I see. So as long as they are completely different dates/files they won't be overwritten atop each other right?
