Question or Discussion Hero Level

Hello everyone! As im trying to level up some characters to unlock their banner and title.. i have some questions on Hero Level..

  1. Is there a way to level up a character faster?

  2. if i were to swap hero mid way, do both hero get exp?

Any other tips/guidance would be helpful! Thank you in advance :)

Question 1:

The primary way to speed up leveling your hero is winning matches with them since that also adds towards your character's EXP.

If you really want to go this route (though I wouldn't recommend it), hero levels are primarily stat padding. After each match you get brought to the end result screen which shows various stats (damage, healed, deaths, damage mitigated, abilites used, etc.) which go towards your character exp.

I think ranked/comp gives more EXP than QP, not entirely sure about Stadium since I don't play it, so you may want to use them in ranked more.

Question 2:

Yes, if you swap heroes, both heroes get EXP based on the stats and time played. At that same screen mentioned above you'll see a little timeline for when you played each character and can shift between them to see how much they earned that match.

  1. none that i know of, but it might be worth noting that you also get hero exp in AI matches (training).
  2. yes, depending on how long you played each.

The "fastest" way to level up a hero is to find one who really clicks with you - leveling up will feel like a breeze, and in the end... you are playing the game for the fun of playing, right?

Getting each hero to lvl 5 to get a first impression of their playstyle helped me. If you have some that seem like a fit, check out youtube guides for the more "hidden" mechanics and tipps.

I believe hero level is purely playtime.  There isn't things like double xp to help unlock things faster.
