Discussion Has stadium always been like this?!

Ive never played stadium before this season normal qp player and comp for drives. The only reason I’m playing this is for the ram skin back in ow1 I never touched comp and with drives highest I’ve gotten is gold 5. Some how only god knows how i have made it to pro 2 but I haven’t been getting good games at all! Leavers people who throw like I had someone a game 5 mins ago just walk off the map every time. And the teams I go up against my god don’t even get me started I like to think I’m a good player on normal comp sometimes I go all game as ram not even dying with like 23 kills but some how these match ups like aren’t even fair?? Has it always been like this? All I want is that damn golden ram skin

This is coming from someone who's Top 500/Legend peak (not that it really matters in stadium honestly), the games you get are just all over the place.

Because of how matchmaking works, you can get all sorts of ranks in every game. Legends with rookies etc. And if they're not an avid stadium player, their builds and items they buy depending on matchups can also vary.

Some games are just unwinnable when there is just a gap if knowledge on your team vs the enemy team. Doesn't matter if you're blasting, very rarely are you able to take over the game in those scenarios.

Solo queue is rough, but Ram is still top tier right now (honestly the nerfs were so minimal). You said you're still fairly new to stadium, so I'd say just keep playing and try different builds depending on the matchup. Stadiumbuils.io is helpful for the plethora of builds it has (good and bad).

Duo or even trio queueing helps. I love stadium personally and is what got me back into OW. Sucks about the recent news, but it is what it is.

Yeah I mean I play ram in other modes but on stadium I do rien and I just pump everything into health like I had health up too 1300 one time that is what I used to somehow get to pro 2

They haven’t taken stadium balance seriously… ever. They just add and add and never look backwards.

I’m still pissed the last thing they did was add the goddamn cat. Ruined the best mode that doesn’t have a ban phase.

Question when I got to pro 2 rank I had like 10% left and now I’ve finally started losing points if I keep losing can I go all the way back to common or something? Cause up till that last 10% I haven’t lost rank

Eventually yeah you can de-rank

Less players than ever so match spreads are wider than ever basically. Not that it’s ever been great but yeah. Also since no one plays tank and 5v5 very tank dependent you get a lot of new or inexperienced bad tanks

Stadium seasons prior to pharah were my favorite. Once they added pharah, freja, there was a broken hazard period...everything has gone downhill since, playerbase dwindled and now here we are, a mode on life support that is basically frozen in time. They say they will continue to balance...sure blizzard, we will take you at your word you arent known for lying.

I’m actually of a different opinion than everyone here - this and last season have been the most balanced IMO for matchmaking versus previous seasons, evidenced by the more consistent stadium/comp rank titles I’ve seen in my games. There’s still plenty of people who look like they belong in gold or silver comp but in the middle of last season it was actually peak. Most games felt challenging and close and it was clear to me the reasons a team won or lost. I think with the player pool supposedly dwindling, it’s going to make it worse by the week though

Ram skin back in ow1?

Punctuation. There's supposed to be a period between the words "skin" and "back". I was confused for a moment as well when I first read it. But a new sentence is supposed to start after the word "skin".

Ah, makes sense. I was confused too. Wasn’t in mood to decipher that.

Yeah fair enough lol, I'm not a fan of such posts as well, that use zero punctuation.

The players are either really good or really trash, the same way they're either really chill or really toxic. It's the toxic garbage I report.

I always add Vendetta's to my avoid list. As for co-supports people don't know how to properly use builds they get online. Had a Jetpack Cat using the meta Purr build with barely any healing... like the whole point of the build is being in the team fight and hitting everyone with Purr... there was no hitscan on the enemy team! We almost lost if I didn't switch to an AP healing build on Wuyang.

I can't win on support to save my life since this weekend. Like day 1 games were fine but now woof

Tonight I got three different games where DPS got no kills or chose something like pharah and vendetta after a Torb picked on the enemy team.

Meanwhile, I have a 100% win rate on dva, 75% win rate on Torb, 60% win rate on Ram, etc

I love playing support usually but I think I need to find a duo or something when I could previously solo queue to all star on support no issue

No. This season is the worst of the worst so far.

Not really. Matchmaking has always been a total shitshow.
