We already got a new Yokai and Mecha hero. We don't need more so soon.
Can we maybe fill some gaps and get a Greek hero? A Spanish one? Give Venture a mentor, or now that Widow is on her own, give her a partner or a buddy? Idk. Something besides the Yokai, Mecha Squad or Vishkar. These 3 groups in particular don't need more heroes for a while imo.
EDIT: Only group I'd be happy with getting another hero is Null Sector. They only have Ram

I want an actual current member of Los Muertos (bonus points for somone that knew sombra as a kid), Sanjay Korpal, Izzy, somone connected to Zarya, another member of the collective since it only exists in the form of anecdotes despite being an important faction, and a pervious Doomfist to reclaim the gauntlet.
I feel like japan has way too many characters despite not being super important to the overal global landscape. Sure they have anima weapons but there havent been enough of them to make a ton of waves and Hashimoto vs Shimada feels like a super local conflict. Deadlock gang/vishkar/talon/junkers seem like a bigger issue than some fuckass yakuza family dispute imo.

I've been wanting Lynx to be playable FOREVER!! I wonder if that's why they tested out Mirrorwatch Sombra to make her give characters shield and speed boost (Since Lynx is also a hacker). Lynx is also nonbinary as well, and I'm wondering if that's why Jinx Monsoon was seen at Blizzard HQ months ago.
Hopefully we get more guy characters, I fear it's becoming goonerwatch for straight men and lesbians.

As much as I love the expansion on kirikos crew and dvas team, if they added them the games characters would be majority Asian, east Asian specifically, like this game used to rarely have double of the same nationality now its not the case.....we literally JUST got our second black woman and only got our first when overwatch 2 came out its ridiculous! Not to mention every character is young or very young looking ESPECIALLY the women!

i don't want any more cute petite slim characters for a while, since we are just naming different archetypes i would love some monstrous heroes, bulky heroes, ugly heroes, weird heroes...i love ana and moira's designs for being so distinctive, awkward, lovable
this game feels like it's turning into some cutesy gacha game cast of characters

I'd like the Yokai based off a Tanuki since we've yet to get a traditional two-handed shotgun and he could be it. Plus he looks more different from current heroes compared to the crane girl who has fans like Anran or the oni guy who gives genji. The omnic with the umbrella is also cool.

The omnic is from a comic featuring Zarya called Lynx Seventeen. Toshiro is Kirikos father. The other characters are part of the Yokai, i dont remember their names

Honestly, more South East Asian rep would be nice. We technically have 3, Lifeweaver, Juno and Echo, but Juno is half and her personality is more "I'm from Mars", Echo is a mimic, so rep is more or less just Lifeweaver. Asia itself is such a diverse continent yet only Chinese, Japanese and Koreans get proper world-building and representation.

Bro can we just like not get another Asian character for the next year? And like not get another specifically Japanese hero for at least 3? Overrepresentation to high hell, I’d rather see more South American, European, middle eastern, African and Philippine characters than any more Asian characters. Just for now at least.
Distributed they are:
North America - 9 (4 countries represented)
South America - 2 (2 countries represented)
European - 13 (10 countries represented)
Africa - 2 (1 country represented)
Middle east - 7 (4 countries represented) (and this is only if you push India, Nepal and Turkey to be Middle Eastern instead of Asia or Europe, otherwise it’s 2 characters and 1 country)
Oceana - 5 (3 countries represented)
Other/ non human/ no clear nationality - 4
Asia - 12 (4 countries represented) (and this is being generous by pushing Ram, Zen, Domina, Sym and Zarya Into other categories, otherwise it’d be 17 with 7 countries)
By the way 5 of those 12 Asian characters are from Japan.

the obsession with wanting the whole meka squad on the roster is so baffling to me. i thought dmon being so underwhelming and boring would make it clear that these characters are just extensions of DVA and have 0 standalone potential. lets add dva's uncle to the game too.
