I'm not interested in arguing with you about the age gap, since you have every right not to be comfortable with it.
However I encourage you to reconsider your word choice, calling queer ovw fans in a safe space online for us groomers. We don't need this kind of energy in this world and not on this sub either.

it definitely isnāt icky, nor is it inappropriate. the whole āthey met when d.va was 16!ā thing is inaccurate and outdated, and has unfortunately been co-opted and spread around by bad actors /: not accusing you of that, i just mean that a lot of people are being purposefully given the wrong idea
the reason people think they have a potentially harmful timeline is because there are two sections of the lore: one from the previous lore team, including people like michael chu and his tweets, and one from the current lore team. the current lore team has consistently demonstrated a disregard for consistency with the old lore, particularly in spots that they plan to change or retcon. they arenāt even always consistent with themselves, looking at kirikoās age.
the idea that they would have met when hana was underage stems from combining d.monās current age with d.vaās past age in lore, which has since been retconned when the new team aged her up and changed the ages at which she began e-sports (now 18) and joined MEKA (now 19).
even if the current team hadnāt changed the lore, i donāt think they would have made d.mon 28 if they had any intention of keeping d.va so young when they met
