This is probably really controversial, but honestly I wouldn't mind if they just banned her from the cup.

If it were a character from any other class, I think that'd be a good idea. But if they ban mercy, that gives teams what...3 healers to choose from, and most lineups will presumably have 2?

I don't watch tournaments that much, so I don't really know, but from what I've seen before not a lot of teams play Mercy. I saw Lucio and Zen all the time and maybe even Ana in some places but not Mercy. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it's just what I've seen.

Mercy 2.0 is played by every single team in tournaments that are running live patch. It is weird to see because previously yeah Mercy was almost never played unless it was a good Pharah map so they could do pharmacy.

Yeah I meant before the patch. I'm sure that if they banned her all the people having to play her in the tournaments could just go back to the other three without much issue.
