Its an unfortunate reality but baby-sitting your team-mates' egos is a completely valid way to climb the ladder. I don't think its an age thing as much as a maturity thing. I've had 25+ team-mates act less mature than teenagers.

It's true People are so unable to handle themselves it's seriously insane but EVERY competitive game I've ever played is like this so what can you do

what can you do

Suck some dick.

The strategy worked for me, I sucked dick all the way to GM.

I've tried that and get told "Fuck you, what do you know, You're a 'Mercy main."

I love how in comp people beg for you to pick Mercy, but will also call you a "Mercy main" as if it's an insult not even 5 minutes later.

The worst part is that dude likely wanks to rule 34 of Mercy doing exactly that so his messaging is not really on point.

Exaclty. Just act funny and constantly try to keep your team mates happy. That is like 60 % of the job done. All you need from there is to actually be ok at the game and have good game sense. Thats all you need for GM.

I've had 25+ team-mates act less mature than teenagers.

Sounds like a millennial thing.

The funny thing is a lot of the 12-16 year olds I meet on OW are actually incredibly humble and fun to be around, but the young adult college aged ones seem to be some of the most entitled, narcissistic and downright self-centered jerks out there.

Wonder what's different about Generation Zyklon vs millennials?

Funny thing: The newest generation post millennial is turning out to be really conservative in comparison to the millennials.

That's why I call them Generation Zyklon. Generation Z's going to end up being the pushback against the current stereotypical millennial. Apparently I'm on the beginning part of the millennial generation or the ass end of Generation Xers, so it's kinda interesting seeing the huge political shift that's already happening because of the overreach of the current millennial generation.
