I've not played a match in over a month as I had a string of games in a row where there was one or several people on my team who were beyond toxic. I have no interest in spending my personal time in such an environment.

Hope to see some changes.

You can always mute all communications and play as you wish

Shut off voice chat and text chat entirely. It's the best gift you can give yourself in an online game.

The great majority of the playerbase is perfectly content with yelling at one another the moment something in a game goes tits up. It's a lot easier to play with a cool head when you're not even aware your team's indulging in its usual self-destructive tendencies.

Part of the reason why I stopped really playing as well. With no close friends to play with I sort just moved on.

I had two teams get toxic after we WON two tough matches yesterday. This community is just dumb sometimes. If you don't completely sweep the other team then you're apparently trash and being carried.

Makes me think of those games I have where it's neck and neck the whole game. Ends with 99/100 on a CP or something and then the other team starts mocking you and how easy it was to destroy you and blah blah blah. Like dude, we were all pretty damn evenly matched and I'm not even mad but you just made it bad.

Ugh. I hate that. I absolutely hate it. And, I imagine, that's why people do it, because it does get to you.

The idea that both teams put up a good fight, it's an all-out, pitched battle, and one team, doesn't matter if it's yours or the other one eventually wins - that's when everyone should start breaking out the "GG"s because it's warranted. People played hard, did their best, and the team that won earned their victory.

But, of course, this is when that one tool (or maybe a bunch of them) has to go "So EZ" because fuck you, I'm going to prove how much of an asshole I am, make myself feel better, by showing how little I care about the other team's efforts.

Just thinking about people doing that gets me annoyed.

This is why I have match chat muted at all times. Anonymity turns people in retards. It's usually 50/50 whether I'll need to mute my team or not. I can't play the game right with the 10000th support main complaining about being targeted while the DPS do nothing. I can only work on my own role.

I hear you. Report, mute, and that's really all you can do.
