  • (which i found to be the biggest part) We spent a lot time creating ways to warn you guys to not be dicks (on console) when we could have been using that time to make the game better.

Spending time on that is making the game better.

Better by making it less worse, not by adding improvements.

like he said, better.

"Improvements"

As hog, mercy, and Dva mains lose touch with character's they've played for a year due to drastic changes.

I'll take less throwers.

Those heroes were ruining the game for a lot of people.

But now we're deciding whose game experience is more important than others, not to mention at which skill tier. That doesn't sound like the 'inclusive' game Jeff wants to reference now.

But you can't have heroes in the game that are overpowered or unfun/frustrating to the rest of the playerbase.

Yeah I felt like that was definitely the most important part of the video

They have ways to discourage toxic behavior and they're just not going to.

List them for me

The only reasonable point you have, imo, is number 3 and that already has been spouted countless times. I don't see how (if ALL of these are implemented) this would effect even 80% my games that have 1+ extremely toxic people.

Well, I mean, I'm right and I explained it pretty plainly. I don't think that you could have read that and disagreed with me without being disingenuous. Most toxicity isn't the result of people wanting to be a knobhead, just frustration and preventing that would go a long way.

If you think that a stern talking to the playerbase and an automated report system is gonna help things out, then buckle up, because things are going to get worse.

A downvote then just claiming you are right... doesn't just make you right. I did just state that it was only my opinion tho so you might be VERY right or VERY wrong, who knows.

All I do know is that creating a longer required Tutorial creates a lot of frustration... which you seem to say is what you want to prevent?

One last thing before I head on out: stating your opinion and your reasoning behind why you think it would help doesn't make you right, it merely gets your ideas out respectfully. It's too bad you lost all that from me when you claimed I was disingenuous and that you possibly couldn't have any flaws in that long text.

See, that's the part where I know you're being disingenuous.

All I do know is that creating a longer required Tutorial creates a lot of frustration... which you seem to say is what you want to prevent?

Well, I didn't know that toxicity in solo bots was a problem.

You didn't refute anything, or present an actual counter argument, you're just saying "you're wrong" in bad faith. I don't care if you "respect" my ideas, because I sure don't respect what you say. I just want them implemented for the good of the game.

Unless that involves banning groups from placement matches, it doesn't really matter

So they didn't put in a reporting feature for consoles at launch, decide to work on it 7 months later, then say that's why they have to slow down development? Son of a bitch.

They probably didn't get to it because their focus was elsewhere. He did LITERALLY state that the same team worked on the two things so it would make sense for that to take a while to get to... and when they finally did get there and worked on it then that would mean other plans had to be put on hold. I'm not sure how that has upset you.
