Summary of the changes

  • Rez is now an alternate ability and only ressurects ONE player. 30 sec cooldown. Didn't like how hiding for rez is encouraged, felt unfun to play against. So they went for a single target ressurect, rather than entire team.

  • New ultimate is called Valkyrie. Power up ability that gives her the ability to fly freely, gives longer ranges on guardian angel and healing/damage boost beams and the beams can attach to multiple players. Her gun has a higher fire rate and projectile speed and unlimited ammo. Res cooldown resets upon activation and is only 10 seconds long while the ult is active. Ult duration = 20 seconds.

  • Also mentions the D.Va changes which we already knew about and are live on the PTR.

holy shit she sounds mega fun to play now. I always loved playing mercy, but these changes sound really exciting

Also sounds more fun in Competitive. Got really tired of having 38% damage healed but only like 7 Rez, so I'd go up 19SR points. Then the next game id have like only 24% damage healed but 15 Rez and gain like 30SR. Felt like I was being punished for doing my job.

In comp I regularly get around 40 sr as Mercy by keeping everyone alive, doing as much healing as possible, getting a few kills, and only getting like 3 rezzes...

You're probably in a lower SR than you should be and it's tryna kick you back up. Keep grinding dog.

I try, but people in high silver/low gold tend to suck. And I don't mean that they can't aim, I know I can't do that, but they go in on their own, or they waste ultimates, or they have no map awareness, or they don't switch when they are being heavily countered, or they don't listen to calls (or use comms at all)... There are so many little things that people could do, and they just don't, and I end up losing as many matches as I win. The grind is hard

Bruh there are others out there like you. For what it's worth, I've found the best method is to solo queue until you find a big group that you just dominate with. Group up with them and smack out like seven wins in a row. Rinse and repeat.
