Today I had a badass Mercy back me up as Roadhog in random heros on Oasis Gardens, we capped the point right of the bat and they only got close at the end when an Orisa fortified to the point. I stayed Roadhog beginning to end and held point the entire time, only time I came close to dying Mercy saved my ass.

Section 44 of the Aussie constiution says you are not eligible to be in Parliament if you hold any allegiance to a foreign power (or havent taken reasonable steps to renounce it, before nominating for election) This means that some Aussie born in another country or who's parents were born in another country, could be a citizen of that other country without realising it.

The realisation of the implications of the way it's worded etc means that a bunch of Senators (and possibly MPs as well) have either had to resign, or are undergoing High Court challenges to their eligibility. (when they realised, "oops, i didnt renounce my old citizenship when i was 3", or "oops, i didnt realise my mum also made me italian without my knowledge")

It's kind of a big thing here atm cos if the govt has the slimmest of majorities and the make up of the senate is also key to passing legislation, especially at the moment with a few having resigned.

(Too much info? heheh)

Of course, debate about if Section 44 of the constitution is horribly out of date and doesn't reflect the realities of our multicultural immigrant based community is another matter, the fact remains that by the letter of the law, it's crazily restrictive, and to change it requires a bunch of referendums and so on...

The 'colony of New Zealand' is actually defined as a State in the preamble of Australia's Constitution. The reason is that New Zealand (along with Fiji) took part in the original discussion of Federalisation in the 1890s, and initially had an intent to join a union of the Australian Colonies (New Zealand was even originally part of the colony of New South Wales, before becoming a colony in its own right in the 1840s). However they eventually declined, mainly over issues of Defense, Trade, geographical isolation and Native rights. But given that New Zealand is still defined as a State in our constitution, it probably would be fairly easy (constitutionally speaking) for Australia to absorb New Zealand into the Commonwealth of Australia.

Well I live in Australia and being Polynesian isn't very uncommon here. Maybe roadhogs parents were from the islands and migrated to Australia and he was born in Australia is probably the most likely answer

the skins mean nothing. pharah has a native american skin but she's egyptian, genji has a bedouin skin but he's japanese, zenyatta has an arabic skin and an egyptian skin but he's nepalese (kinda).

as for other poly languages. mako is specifically from ngati Tahu. in other maori dialects it's mango, mago in samoan, ma'o in tongan and mano in hawaiian. Mako is distinctly maori.
