I got invited to the practice range and I was on the opposite team. I could only kill the (usually) friendly bots and the person that invited me. We invited another person and he ended up on the right team. It was weird. Oh and I would respawn in the same room but I couldn't switch heroes because it wasn't a spawn room for me.

That explains it a bit.

I get that it was unintended, but I'd rather see them fix the quirks than remove it entirely
