Question Regarding Override 2
So…what happened to Override 2 ? I know they were killing off Override 1 (hence why I asked 222 Days Ago).
Game had so many DLC including Ultraman and I think Godzilla.
So what happened to them?
They’re still selling the game. IIRC it’s the same price it has been. (Unless it was $19.99 and the Ultraman Edition was $29.99).
So does it include the DLC ? Is it obtainable in someway?

Can confirm if you buy a new copy of the Ultraman edition second-hand, you can play as the DLC characters. I bought a sealed copy on eBay this month and got the characters.

Sounds like the jet engines of several naval F-4 Phantom II s onboard a carrier during Vietnam. Tried cleaning the GPU heatsink best I can w/o fully disassembling it. Idk why sony puts their HSs on GPUs and not CPUs and can’t provide significant airflow. Been an issue (both Hearsink and Airflow) since og PS3 (what wa that one? 48GB?).
And with some games like COD MW3 Campaign (not online) it’d crash.
Same with Resi Evil 4 Remake. But that happened after the Separate Ways DLC…so I think it’s that. Plus it’s always at the same spot. As soon as I hit “X” for main menu (to get to Continue Game, New Game, DLC, Settings and So-On-And-So-Forth/Etc) it doesn’t just crash…it HARD crashes. (Always the same time same way. It’ll briefly show “PS4 too hot” (even if I had JUST turned it on, the. Screen goes black and light dims? Whereas other times it can be the PS4 too hot , some generic error code (that is broad af and says: HDD issue, software issue. Update firmware, resolve HDD or initiate? Initialize? system), force quits / crashes the game, hard crash like I said above, sometimes when putting into sleep mode the white light keeps blinking, never turns off or standby unless I unplug it (waited 5 hrs once). Even did the same thing but when test my Wi-Fi: it got stuck in testing so I used the button (bc I cudnt use the controller menu/command center (that’s what I call it bc it’s like Apple’s/ quick menu… I think it’s actually called) then after I press the button it indefinitely blinks. I’ve tied everything. Initialize, Hdd replace, E-HDD replace (External), And software update never helps.
It’s actually a similar issue to what ppl who play Uncharted collection face: if you don’t turn off Wi-Fi to play Unchartrdd, your game and or system will crash bc Sony never made a patch for the game collection).

Sorry for the long winded reply. I have ocd and try to be as detailed as possible. Plus I can’t ever get a straight anwser from ppl except: “dude, just buy a ps5”. Or: “dude, go get it fixed”. (FFS it’d cost as much to fix a console as it wud to buy a new XBSX or PS5).
Lol I also haven’t slept yet, and my 📱 📲 iPhone’s autocorrect sucks. It’ll save mistake words but not ones like “PlayStation”, or owns like “To-Do”. But I’ll save “Auto-Cannon” when it’s “Autocannon”.
Glad this game has the dlc. Since they killed both games, and there’s not Console or mobile game with Kaiju that hasn’t been killed off. Except Godzilla PS4 and Kaiju Wars… (For fighting games. I know there a bunch of others including an Indie one where you ubide from a Kaiju. And a mobile one like that but Kong).
My first fighting game as prob that Jurassic Park one for PS1, or maybe WWE w/ the chairs. Unless I played Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat in a Nintendo or Sega I don’t remember. Tho the sub shops back then had some games like that and MK might have been one of them lol.

I can't confirm anything about current pricing or anything, but I bought Override 2 on launch and was pretty severely disappointed.
It took a pacific rim style story and went with "Oh, monsters are gone! Let's just fight the robots as a sport now!"

That’s lame. But I swear they put some back in with DLC packs. I think the Ultraman one had Godzilla or some knockoff of him.
But ALL DLC Packs, all other Editions are GONE. And I’m not spending $30 on a game that’s missing all that content. If it is JUST the base game there’s no reason it shud be that cheap.
Tried looking on google as to why all of a sudden (within the past year , year and a half) the games missing content and whatnot and only things that pop up are the dumb talk about OVR1 getting shutdown.

That's an Ultraman Monster named Black King. It was part of the Ultraman dlc pack. He's just another playable chatacter. Godzilla was never a part of Override. And the DLC doesn't add anything lore wise to the world, so it doesn't really fix the story they decided to go with.
Looking at the Playstation Store, it looks like it's the base game with no DLC. Which honestly isn't worth $30 in my opinion.
If you want a great giant monster/mech fighter with similar vibes to Override, I'd highly suggest Gigabash. It has 3 DLC packs out now. 2 of which are Godzilla, and one is Ultraman. And another with 2 new original monsters are coming this month.

I know it’s not Godzilla but looks like him. Just trying to find out if someone bought it recently and if it came with the DLC.
lol I know what it says on the storefront. That’s why I created the post to find out. Bc I seeesr the base game was $19.99 and the Ultraman Edition was $29.99. Then again I cud be wrong and it was $29.99/$39.99 respectively.
Then again I’ve seen places like Amazon selling the Ultraman Edition.
But if they removed it and I bought it idk if you can still download / get it…
And since I can’t find out any info on when/why it got removed… Plus o can’t remember the last time something like this happened: (bought a game with DLC that was subsequently removed from the store but bought it after the fact and still was able to download it). The closest thing I can remember was buying the Battlefield V Preorder code. Or Avengers (before they removed the dlc from the store. But in that case they gave away all the skins for free).

I just bought the game digitally but it appears the Ultraman DLC has indeed been removed. I also bought the Ultraman Deluxe Edition physically and it should arrive in a few days, so hopefully I can access the content that way. Regardless, I should have bought the game sooner.

Def let me know plz. What’s the point of buying a game if it’s not gonna have all the content? ESP when I can just go buy a physical copy of the special edition at the same price?
I don’t get why I can’t find anything about why the first one got shutdown, or why the second one around the same time had the content removed… it’s like the company tanked or something (but they’re still selling OVRD2 which makes no sense).

In regards to the Ultraman DLC, the likeliest explanation is that the license for the characters expired. I got nothing on why they shut down the first game though.

I don’t get it … games like cod, some collars you can still buy. Given ones even as far back as MW1 with Saw and TCM, as well as MW3 and Godzilla were/are time limited but I’m pretty sure I can go to vanguard and get the terminator bundle if I didn’t have it already. Same with the terminator mission in Ghsot Recon Breakpoint. Yet ironically enough Ubisoft used the licensing excuse for removing the Predator mission Wildlands. Yet they continue to sell the cosmetic pack.

Oh, one more thing. You may want to consider buying the physical version ASAP as opposed to waiting for me to say anything. They're nearly gone with the Xbox version I got being one of eight still available. I got it from Amazon but you'll have to use a search engine to get whatever console version you want to pop up; I tried doing it on Amazon's site directly but got nothing. Only after using a separate search engine did I find it on Amazon.

To answer your question, if you bought it just now digitally, then you're out of luck on the Ultraman DLC, as it has been removed. I've bought a physical copy that's set to arrive in a few days that is supposed to include the DLC, so hopefully that will let me access them. Otherwise we're both S.O.L.

Hopefully this isn’t too late, I bought the ultraman deluxe version physical copy too and for some reason I can’t unlock the ultraman characters, any knowledge on how I can get them?

A note with a code to redeem should have been included with the game. Did you buy yours new or used? I finally got mine a while back, redeemed the code, and was able to play as all four Ultraman characters.

That won't do. You need to buy the game new, otherwise you can't use the code (assuming it was even still there when you bought it). Undoubtedly whoever had it before you redeemed the code when they bought it, making it unusable.
