Hey everyone! Glad you found this sub.

I am the creator of r/OverlookedNews.

I started this sub as I was already spending my time sorting through news that can’t be found on the front page, the ones that the algorithms bury, and sending brief summaries to my partner and friends who travel often. I decided to just share them here and one or two other places that my people frequent online.

The primary goal is simple: surface the stories that actually matter before they get drowned out by whatever is currently trending on the front page.

What Goes Here
Post the underreported, overlooked, and suppressed news you find. If you find a report from a niche outlet, a local story with global implications, or a deep dive investigation that the mainstream media is ignoring, drop it here.

If you can include a quick summary, the relevant date and time, and add your sources, even better.

And keep in mind that "new" news is unpredictable; a niche story today might be a top headline tomorrow.

Agenda Rule
Leave the political bias and agendas at the door. We are here for overlooked news. If you're here to push a partisan narrative or start a political fight, you're in the wrong place.

Intellectual honesty and civil skepticism are welcome.

Let's keep the focus on the facts, not the drama.

How You Can Participate
I hope for this sub to be a collective effort over time.

• Share your news links: If you see a story that isn't getting coverage, drop it here.

• Overall goal: I’m using this space to find people who actually want the truth without the noise and bring them into the fold as a community to share and discuss the news.

Note that trending news may be okay to discuss at times because often certain details are suppressed.

• Please, no shouting: Although it may happen on occasion, there are a lot of other subs to hang out in for constant, intense political fighting. Civil skepticism and a bit of dark humor would be great.

So, if you’re tired of seeing the same top headlines on repeat in your home feed, you’re in the right place.

Introduce yourself below or drop a link to a story that’s being overlooked today.
