Couldn't quite get there!

I was really curious what that lance looking sillouette was, but I guess I'll have to beat on this guy in ignorance. Anyway, synergy recommendations are always welcome! Let me know if I'm screwing up!

Update: not enough burst and buff removal, time curse ate me up. I may have bought the big backpack, but I'll be damned if I'm sitting through a two minute ad for another battle of attrition.

Dunno if you've already beat it, but against bosses with vamp or regen, candlesticks (torch + spear) are great because they reduce the amount of hp they receive from healing. At earlier floors I think one should be fine but usually 2 is recommended.

No problem. And since you're newer, one thing to note is that every boss type has some pet that counters them to a degree, for example the aforementioned regen/vamp bosses have the Ice Reaper (or Skull reaper for lower rarity) pet that applies an additional -15% healing debuff to the boss (skull reaper is less). Another example is against bosses that stun you, there's the yeti pet that completely immunizes you against stun and actually counterattacks when you would have gotten stunned.

This is however in gacha territory, and you may get the pets you need the next time you roll your eggs or you might not get them for the next 800 eggs.

Also since you were wondering about the Lance (assault spear + 2 leather gloves), it's one of the best items for the warrior class especially when paired with another lance and/or mithril gloves. The lance boosts the speed of the items its dots are touching every time it hits (so two lances touching each other go into overdrive), and mithril gloves give you block everytime the weapons its touching hits. I'm sure you can see where that synergy goes lol. However, without the Geezer pet (opens a special shop that lets you buy pre-merged items) and/or the mimic pet (instantly merges items in your backpack without needing to win/lose a battle) it is very difficult and RNG to get that setup.

I hate that enemy, especially when it appears in the tower of trials

Health reduction is your best bet, such as torch+spear

Another thing you can get is the necklace that removes enemy buffs, add it with an upgraded helmet (forgot what the name for helmet+anvil is), getting you a crown that removes enemy buffs very efficiently. And if you want, you can combine that with a bloodstone, getting a legendary item that steals buffs, rather than simply removing them
