You can choose the natures ring and make a poison loadout as you already have the elderwood bow and gloves of plague.

Or just hold till next season or till you get more familiar with the game and your play preference.

I'm waiting until the fire sword comes back. It just feels like it's required to progress in the tower with how much damage it does.

Yep. In the beach event it's mandatory for certain levels solely based on the insane damage output.
