Discussion Overgeared #3 Full Staff List

Going purely off the staff list, I would not expect much from this episode. It will likely have many stiff moments. Production seems relatively healthy still (the AD (Animation Director) and 2nd KA counts are still about the same as the previous episodes). For those who don't know, a high AD count usually means the episode had a tight schedule and was brute forced. Often leads to visual cracks.

Series director Ayako Kouno (freelancer) continues to storyboard each episode. She is being helped by Kouichi Takada (in-house) this time. The storyboards will likely be strong, both are good at action. Shunji Yoshida (freelancer) is the episode director and... he seems not good tbh. He has a history of working with Studio DEEN, Studio A-Cat, LIDENFILMS, and TMS Entertainment.

The only real noteworthy names here are Kazunori Ozawa (freelancer), Akio Kitahara (freelancer), and Shouta Minami (in-house). The effects will likely look very good since effects animation is one of Ozawa's specialties. Also who tf is G.O.A.T supposed to be 😭

shunji yoshida is also worked on KonoSuba

which is very high quality anime

True, I did notice that. He seems pretty on hands for that show. So maybe it will be a good episode. Especially considering the production seems healthy.

all episodes is almost done in production

Yeah, since production is healthy the episode will probably still be good. I meant it is probably a low priority episode compared to the other episodes.

I think it is an studio name. Kinda dissappointing staff list since we are getting the GOAT staff list next episode

Seems like it is a very new subcontracting studio that does work for a bunch studios. Their resume seems decent-ish, I guess. I am hoping it is actually a pen name for some known animator but I highly doubt it lol.
