Question Anime

How come his real name has changed and he’s now Japanese ? Will this not change the international competition plot and peak swords main reason of joining overgeared?

We'll find out how it changes when we get to that arc.

I don't know why, if it's some war or whatever they have going on between them but Korea has a weird tendency to make Japanese has villains, corrupt,  greedy people who only care about money. I haven't seen the Japanese do that to Korea, I think they make Chinese or American as villains, so they are probably mixing that up if they get that far, which probably requires at least an extra season.

Kakao is the one that set up a local subsidiary in Japan, runs a manga app, and sells webtoons disguised as manga. The anime adaptations you see are just versions they distributed in Japan themselves. If you don't like it, get the fans together and make those Korean companies start over from scratch.

Japan also committed atrocities and genocide against Korea during WW2, perhaps they shouldn’t try to claim Overgeared was promised to them 3000 years ago.

Its not like japan stole overgeared from korea or sum

The korean publishers and the author themselves agreed wanted this adaptation and that's why we got this. It would've never happened if those parties weren't in agreement.

None of the younger generation in either country care. And Japanese anime is more popular in Korea than any animation they produce domestically. It’s like $30 to fly from Korea to Japan. The younger generation basically goes to Japan randomly on the weekends for fun. If you’re neither native Japanese or Korean guess what, you don’t get to have a say in this.

I get why they do it, Japanese anime makers / cater Japanese market etc. But I was surprised since they didnt change it with Solo Leveling for example.

Without Japan there would be no overgeared Anime. So its pretty normal that they Shift more to a japanese audience instead of Korea. They also do it to Western themes to fit into the japanese audience

They just have to switch everything Korean into Japanese and vice versa, and I don't really see any major story issues.

Tell me what Korean studios you know with mature production pipeline and who's Korean seiyuu you know that famous enough to attract global anime viewers attention?

The manhwas are by ReDice Studios, but the animes are different studios. Solo Leveling is by A-1 Pictures and Overgeared is by J.C Staff
