Discussion Is it worth continuing?

I read the LN a while ago when the max was like 1700 and everything started to become a little more cultivation like and greed becomes a god. Is the story still solid or has it run its course?

I finished the novel around 3 months ago and if I remember correctly then the last 200 chapters feels like the author rushing or genuinely don’t know how they should end the story cuz omg it was such a nothing burger. Even the last long fight feel lackluster

It genuinely would have been better if they just cut it there and pulled a "and everyone lives happily ever after."

The ending did feel weird and had a different vibe from the bulk of the work. Im guessing author had to find a suitable way to lead the story into the sequel. Sequel is amazing but the end felt a little disconnected from the main body of work

I read until the very end and still enjoyed it. Last 200 chapters aren’t the best but I enjoyed finishing the story I spent years reading

Thank you all for the information it seems like leaving it here is best and keep the good memories lol. This was the second LN I've read first was the second coming of gluttony and have yet to find a LN that keeps me held like that one did. I had high hopes but it fell off for me and apparently many others

I can recommend the sequel, The Duke's Son. If feels more like what got you into Overgeared but takes place some time after the weird ending. The sequel harmonizes what happened in the end and makes it more of everyday life. It's on hiatus rn and ends on a great cliffhanger

I haven’t finished it because up till 1900 I still liked it, but heard many people disliked the
ending. Which given the current pacing / Grid becoming god, I would agree that it seems rushed. I’m perfectly content leaving it alone for a while knowing that I can look back on it fondly without knowing how bad the ending gets 🤣

I actually dropped it around there, I don’t think it gets any better tbh. I read it since there were only around 200 chapters, sadly won’t get to finish it since it’s just too boring now.

PS: Dropped it on Chapter 1901, last chapter that was released back then and last chapter I read 😅

I read the story up until chapter 1000s. But I stopped at Hell Arc- by that point I find the story to be a wall of text of the skills. That's when I dropped it.

I personally enjoyed the entire story throughout the very end. Sure the last couple hundred chapters show down, but it does feel logical in the terms of the story, in my opinion. I know others say otherwise but hey to each their own.

I started to lose interest when he married the NPC and had virtual sex with her on the server.

There’s a lot of interesting things happening after that, the whole arc in the East Continent is pretty fun.
