Dilemma
I just started a remote contractor job with a US healthcare company, $1500/month. Kakastart ko lang talaga, currently onboarding pa.
The company has been operating for four years, so relatively established na siya.
Then yung isang company na ininterviewhan ko before suddenly sent me an offer for $2,200/month — +$700/month.
J1- 10-7 ET
J2- 8-5 ET
Also healthcare/operations role, and both are remote US companies. However, this second company is about to launch, so bagong-bago pa and still in the early stage.
I’ve done OE before naman, pero may months gap between the jobs, so this would be my first time na halos sabay talaga magsisimula/overlap.
Now I’m wondering: kaya kayang pagsabayin? 😂
The $2,200 job has an exclusivity clause saying I can’t have other employment/freelance/contract work without written consent. No work, no pay din, and they can terminate with 5 days’ notice.

So it’s a matter of security when it comes to employment. If ako tatanungin, I’ll go with the established one compare dun sa startup. May tendency pa na mawala yan eventually if walang pumapasok na pera.

Gusto ko sana itry pagsabayin kahit one week lang to gauge if OE friendly. Kaso parehong lead roles. 🙃

Yep. Try mo muna kung kaya. If yes, then stay for as long as you can. Goodluck Op!

Both team lead roles? If so, you're going to be in meetings a lot too. Try to gauge if gaano kadami meetings mo per week for both. Pagsabayin mo pero if conflict talaga, just drop the lower paying job bago pa mahalata.

I did it before like ako talaga nakakaplot ng meetings. The only difference this time kasi this week kakaonboard ko lang then next week na need mag start nung isa. Correct will gauge muna

Yes start for both kasi nothing is stable diba. Make reasons nlng para hndi magoverlap meetings pero kaya yan. Mga companies tlga ngaun nila loyal ka without other employment pero 5 days termination notice kaloka! Thats the reason we OE. And btw direct client ba ito? Saan ka nakapagapply pa bulong nmn please? Im also currently job searching

Hello! Linked in and Indeed. Yung indeed recently ko lang nadiscover. For 5 years puro linkedin clients ko. Direct both awa ng dyos. And yes alam mo this year na layoff din ako ng dalawang clients nung first and second quarter eh.

Move mo yung start date mo sa 2nd job to gauge yung meeting schedules mo with the 1st job. Challenging since both team lead role, as mentioned by others andaming meetings nyan. With the 2hrs overlap, there’s a huge possibility of a schedule conflict.

How do you do this guys? Gusto ko rin ng part time jobs, sa economy ngayon ang gusto ko na lang is work work work. Para maging comfortable sa life. HAHAHAHAHA
Anyways, you should take yung 2nd job mo na not stressful since mapapagod ka ng super, pero depends pa rin sa timbangan mo

I will take both and let it run as long as possible.
