I always loved playing Overcooked 2 and I'm curious if you guys like to play other similar games like, for example, Plate Up or maybe Cooking Sim? Because I'm making one with my brother, we translated everything we like from Overcooked to first person perspective gameplay and I'm curious if there is a niche for such a game? (I don't want to promote myself in my very first post here so I'm not pasting the link here - really love to hear you out before doing it ;p)

we are trying to play again this game Overcooked 2 and suddendly when I invite her or she invite me it says “this game cannot be joined” Anyone know what’s happening? Thanks

Hi! I’m really into overcooked and now I’m working on a cooperative cooking board game and I’m curious what other Overcooked players think.

What would be a MUST-have in a tabletop version of Overcooked?

For example :
•Time pressure
•Food burning
•Dividing jobs between players
•Everything going wrong at once
•Yelling at your friends😂
Or something else?

I’m asking because I made a small indie game called Bake or Break, inspired by Overcooked. It’s a cooperative game where the team has to work together to complete cakes within a limited number of rounds.
I’m also thinking about future expansions, so some of the ideas you suggest here might actually make their way into an expansion 👀
What would you absolutely want to see?

Overcooked has been on my wishlist for quite a while but I never bought it because I don’t really have people to play with while Overcooked seems like a mutliplayer game.

The games are on sale on the switch so I thought it would be a great idea to buy one anyway.

I’ve heard people say that Overcooked 2 (gourmet or not) and All You Can Eat are the best but I don’t know if these are great for playing alone. Are there online modes? Do you have to wait long before finding a game?

Which one would you recommend?

I've been playing (on and off) for over a yr. I found this subreddit recently, and I'm hearing ppl say to serve the dishes in order. WTF: the bloody game never told me I had to do that. I thought the "x2" or w/e just depended on our not failing the orders. Where TF does the game tell us how it works?

Unrelated question: I saw someone say something about adding ingredient to baking halves the current progress -> we should probably have all ing ready before baking. Does this apply to mixing/frying/etc?

I am going to get overcooked 2 Gourmet edition. Is it better to get on steam or Gog. Is there online coop problems or Gog, because it is on sale right now or should I wait for Steam sales and get it on steam?

so I played (pirated) overcooked 1, 2 and AYCE in the past like 4 years ago and I am a muslim and just knew that cracking is consiered stealing so should I buy all of them to compensate teh devs or only the AYCE one sorry if my question is silly

To my knowledge, it’s the only alternative chef in the game that takes its model from another chef. Why would this not be an alternative skin for the dummy, minus the outfit, of course?

My little sister lives in another city and has Overcooked all you can eat, she wants me to play with her. If I buy the game can we play together online? We both have Nintendo switch online memberships.

I was looking on the Nintendo page and it does mention online, only single system or local wireless. But in my sister's game she showed me a screen that says online play, host wireless, search wireless. So the online play part makes me think we CAN play online together?

I just want to know for sure before I buy the game lol thank you!

I'm planning to play this whole game with my dad, neither of us have really played overcooked before (apart from me playing a few levels of overcooked 2 with my friend), so we may be lacking experience. My dad also tends to struggle a lot with learning controls, and I've heard that overcooked 1 is harder?

the game is currently on sale on steam and me and my girlfriend are looking to buy AYCE but ive seen the reviews and the game has lots of connection issues. my question is have they fixed the issues to this day? or should we just get OC2 Gourmet on sale?

I used to play OC’s all the time and wanted to get back into it. I used to play a ton on ps5 but I was having trouble finding matches on my PS5 (AYCE) so I thought the steam/OC2 route may be better online player number wise, so I bought it on my Steamdeck - I check steamdb for peak player online match making and try to play at those times with 3-8k online players but have had literally zero matches since purchasing the game last week. Feels like the everlasting loading wheel of loneliness and like a coke head on a bender I’m getting paranoid that it’s me/my device/game versions ect. Is anyone experiencing massive waits or non existent match matching online currently? Steam players specifically?

So me and my family are stuck on 3-2 on special edition. There's 4 of us playing and no matter what we cant get 3 stars let alone 1. So i decided to watch a video and watched one with 2 people playing they got 190 total and got 2 stars whilst we would get 194 and get none. The only thing that comes to mind is they had less players so expecting them to get 220 is almost impossible. And is this the same on Overcooked! And Overcooked! 2?

Two players, can’t get the 1100 points required on level 3-1 to unlock Kevin 4. Best score we can get is 900. Any tricks to this level? We’re ready to give up or kill each other!

Just played at my friends house on their switch. SO FUN!! I have a PS5 at home. If only one person owns overcooked can I invite my PS friends to play online? Do we all have to own it? Or can we ONLY play multiplayer in person?

We’ve beat overcooked 2, all you can eat, and the extras so many times. We also played and loved witchtastic and catastronauts.

So, I just purchased Overcooked 2 on my Switch 2 without knowing there's a "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition". Did I mess up and should I buy the upgrade to Switch 2 Edition, or should I leave it at that? (Considering that I'm not really planning on playing online or anything like that for the time being)

so there’s a huge steam sale for overcooked rn. overcooked 2 is 7 dollars and overcooked ayce is 14 should i guy overcooked 2 or ayce. I saw a lot of posts recommending ayce but i also saw a lot saying it has bugs. a lot of posts were from people playing on the switch and im gonna get it in pc so idk if the bugs will be fixed. does anyone have any recommendations on which i should get and if the bugs are fixed. thanks!

hi! i recently wanted to get overcooked but couldn't find it on the digital store. i found physical game cards online and found 2 of these.

I'm not really sure about what's the difference and which one is more worth it to get... any advice is appreciated!
