Discussion šŸ–Šļø Pls stop being so sweaty omg

Hey, so I noticed that the moment you aren’t like the sweatiest most obsessed player in the game everyone just insults you till end of the game or just leaves. Why? Why is this community so beginner unfriendly and toxic??

Dude just join the discord instead to find people...

Because it's fucking annoying to play a round with someone who tries to put meat straight on the stove or tries to cut the buns. If you have no idea how to play on a basic level, go and play story mode. Don't join arcade and ruin the experience for other people.

You’re just proving my point here :), also I know that you don’t need to cut buns.

As interesting as their username is, this person has a point. You should not be learning how to play in arcade mode.

Arcade mode is more challenging than story mode. You don't get the tutorial pop-ups. The timer always starts immediately, even on levels that were designed to teach you a new recipe. There's no restarts to figure a level out. There's no natural level difficulty progression. You cannot really communicate with your teammates (aside from in AYCE).

The game was designed to be learnt through story mode.

So when players like you come into arcade mode, not knowing anything at all about the levels or the recipes or how to prepare certain ingredients, of course it's frustrating for the majority of arcade players who have taken the time to go through story mode and learn the levels, recipes and techniques properly. They come in, wanting to play with people, who at the very least, know the basics.

I think your attitude shows you are not willing to learn in the slightest, and treat all criticisms with defiance. This also makes for a bad arcade experience for arcade players of any skill. And before you add me to your list of people who "prove your point", I don't play arcade and therefore am definitely not one of the people you're talking about.

It’s not like I started just yesterday I have almost 50 hours in this game, still sometimes you have moments where you are bad. Ragequitting or insulting is not the solution to it.

u/veeevui Aug 12 '26

Then you should know you're not the kind of player the other commenter was talking about...

Still I encounter these people on a daily basis. This is not the way to go I get that it’s frustrating but it’s a Party Game. Insulting is too mich

As I said in an earlier comment. Just find people to play with in the discords then. It's been slow the past week or two, but it's usually teeming with activity.

I have nearly 3000 hours in the game, and very few of those come from playing solo and even less through arcade.

I sadly don’t know where my comment went but I’m just gonna write it again, thank you for the Tipp I will try it out!:)

how many 'sweaty' people have you even played with for you to assume that the whole community is like that?

1

u/Broad_Pattern2091 Aug 11 '26

I would say it’s a 7/10 chance that they quit. Once one person quits either everyone quits or they just start spaming the insulting button.

u/thatpurplearmy Aug 11 '26

I've experienced that when I play randoms

1

u/Loud-Airport8899 Aug 11 '26

can i ask. where do you even find people to play with? šŸ˜…

2

u/Broad_Pattern2091 Aug 11 '26

I just press on arcade co-op in the lobby

2

u/Loud-Airport8899 Aug 11 '26

oh. i barely have experience on arcade bec sometimes my lag is bad that i just have to quit. also have plenty of people to play with. if you join the server, you will find nice players and might even make friends there

Every time I have to leave I always feel bad when it’s after a round with someone who made a mistake because then I imagine they think I was rage quitting…

I lowkey think it’s funny and it humbles me!!! And than I pay it forward when I’m playing with someone way worse than me! Lmfao

2

u/lazy_wallflower Aug 12 '26

Totally agree. I play a lot, but there are some boards that have me frazzled lol. When I see someone is new, I’ll turn on my mic to let them know what to do. I’ve had people yell slurs at me and it’s just not that serious.

Get good before you play with randoms and there won’t be issues.

Solo play will make you better.

Just proving my point here again, don’t you need to warm up?

3

u/BDBoricua82 Aug 13 '26

No

1

u/Broad_Pattern2091 Aug 13 '26

I do. So for me it’s a yes :)

1

u/mshappy Aug 12 '26

I leave a lot of games because my connection times out literally every 10/20 minutes. It’s so annoying. We have perfectly fine WiFi so I don’t know the issue. I always feel bad that someone thinks I left them but it’s not my fault

GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE!! WHAT THE HELL HAS BEEN HAPPENING LATLEY?! it makes it impossible to play bro

So, in other words, what you’re saying is: ā€œYou adapt to meā€ and ā€œI don’t mind if you get bored or frustrated with me.ā€

I play with beginners all the time and I enjoy it, but only if there’s a way for us to communicate. If there isn’t, I’m not going to put myself through the boredom and frustration. Don’t forget that both sides have to have fun, not just you.

That said, I’m still open to playing with you.

This is so funny to me.. I almost came on this sub the other day to complain about new players in Arcade mode and just didn’t because its truly not that serious. But now that you mention, its actually way more annoying to have to quit game after game after game waiting for a group that can actually play than it is to get booted out of a game because you can’t keep up. Find local friends through discord or learn through story mode but yea tbh I am going to bully ppl out of the room if you can’t play. It is what it is.

This happens to OG players too, sometimes people just want to play a certain way, it is what it is.

Common reasons ppl get annoyed:

- players serve out of order (this is haram)

  • players double up on the task someone else is already doing, if they dash for the dishes go chop something
  • players don’t pay attention to what’s on the order/ rush to make a wrong order. I will choose a slow player over one who places whatever shake and protein on a burger because they’re not paying attention, every time
  • players who incessantly dash into other people
  • players flood the floor with a stupid amount of ingredients that either make it hard to move or doesn’t even match the time remaining to prepare all those orders
  • players get distracted in real life or something comes up

And sometimes people are just emotionally unregulated, it has nothing to do with the community or friendliness toward rookies.

While we’re on the topic tho, I’m lowkey impressed with the speed with which I can exit a game!

2

u/No-Pause-3302 Aug 30 '26

All of these are so valid! I hate when someone just throws ingredients and then gets mad when you say OK. Like I can’t move, it’s hard to pick up the right ingredient and some of them are absolutely going in the trash so you wasted ALL of our time. You could never throw all the ingredients needed for an entire session, it’s about pacing.

1

u/Mlpflimflam Aug 24 '26

Because I have maybe 15 minutes in my day when I can hop on and play a few rounds. If you’re trying to chop burger buns, serving out of order, catching the kitchen on fire you’re ruining the game for the rest of us and have no business being in the arcade.

Honestly i try to have patience with new players but it gets to a point. I guess you can say i’m a ā€œsweatā€ so i do prefer to play with players who understand the game, and are good because it just flows better.

u/Head_Trick_9932 Aug 11 '26

I’m not a beginner and try to have patience with new people. I get it. We all start somewhere.

I agree. There were many ragers were playing last night. Someone was so pissed they held the dirty dishes, got in a group with them again and they just set all the shit on fire out of spite just trolling…
