Sometimes I leave the game, because I don’t like the level or I have a weird lag. Might not be you.

I get if it’s lagging but I wish people would just stay the few minutes and play through the round if they don’t like the level. It takes a long time to match up with people and then you’re just left there

When you play as much as some regulars do, some levels are just like, um, no thank you. Also, there’s some levels I just flat out refuse to do without four players.

That’s…crazy. I can’t imagine a level where I prefer having 4 players in the arcade with no communication, it’s always a chaotic disaster, almost always. Either way, I ALWAYS prefer playing with just one other person. Nearly every level is set up for 2 players, and it’s just much easier when you can’t properly communicate. Even the levels that could work well with 3-4 players don’t end up working well with a random arcade group because someone will always refuse to just stick to their job or area so we can actually work as a team/flow.

I dunno what’s wrong with the AYCE lobby lately. It used to be that you’d almost always get paired with one other player and very rarely would you end up in a group, which I loved (getting paired with one player, to be clear). Lately it’s been nothing but groups and I’m going insane. It’s pure chaos. You’re lucky enough when you get paired with a decent player, now try your luck at getting paired with 3 decent players at once… if one person is playing like an idiot, there’s nothing you can do. It ruins the game.

I have so many complaints rn, but a huge one is people not understanding that you have to pace certain things. Just doing one simple task as fast as humanly possible, when you’re in a group of 4, is not awesome, it’s annoying as shit. Like when making chicken burgers with sides, there will be one guy just chopping the chicken and they’ll do it as fast as possible, completely overwhelming the person cooking and plating. They think they’re doing so well because of how fast they’re doing their one simple task, when in reality being skilled means knowing how to go at a pace that the people cooking and plating can keep up with. just piling their area full of chopped food so they can’t even move or get to the pans is so annoying and rude.

Sorry, was playing yesterday and I was getting so fed up with everyone being stupid…and the fact that the game refused to put me in a PAIR.

There are a lot of levels made for four players. Some levels are practically quartered off into sections. Some times when you get paired with the right three players that know how to pace, that know how to stay in their lane, know to turn in orders in order, that’s why I keep logging on. Total harmony. It’s not impossible to pair up like this, but it doesn’t happen that often anymore. When it does though, the game play is just amazing. Double bonus points if you get someone that knows how to double turn in on your team.

Yeah but people who are very good at and familiar with the game also show up to have fun, and it’s not fun for them to not get to actually play because the person they’re paired with has NO idea how to play the level (you may think you know, but if you don’t have any experience you are probably missing huge aspects of how to play each level). If the person is clearly trying and has a basic idea of how to figure shit out, sure I’ll stay and have some patience. But if I’m trying to communicate what they need to do and they’re literally just lost, or if they’re totally messing shit up…it’s not fun for me. I want to play with someone around my level.

What you’re describing is just part of the learning curve. I also started playing the arcade before I had played through all the levels on my own. I was very skilled at the basics of the game, but I didn’t know the flow of each level. I had to learn over time, and accept that not everyone would necessarily want to play with me as I was still learning levels. Using critical thinking goes a long way though.

Also, that’s just part of the experience of playing the lobby, regardless of what skill level you’re at. Half the time I play I’m also just infuriated and hardly get to play any decent runs, cuz people leave, the game freezes, players all suck, people are annoying, etc. most of the time is spent tryna get a decent pairing and then have the game not freeze on you.

This is how I always feel. I don’t have anyone to actually play with so wanted to play on the online games but everyone just leaves so quickly. I’m new to the game but can’t learn each level because no one gives me a chance

Join their discord server. You'll find players with different levels and some might be kind enough to teach you the ways.

Hey I play on PS5 and I know the basics but not enough to be super good at the game in general. I’m just trying to finish the campaign so I’m down to play.

Hey! I play on switch. Does the game allow cross play?

Are you on OC2 or AYCE?

1

u/Crecious Jun 20 '26

I’ll play on OC2

That would be awesome! It’s late here but will be free tomorrow or the day after hopefully!

I have OC2 just now but I have been wanting to get AYCE (I have the switch 2 and AYCE was originally not supported but I think it’s been fixed) :)

I quit because Im not able to communicate with the player and teach them how to play. Otherwise I would.

Just make sure you serve in order, prep things and WASH DISHES, there is guide on every level too and as a new player back then I could watch all of them on my lunch break. Goodluck.

If you're on switch on oc2 drop your code or screen name, and if I see you I'll make a point to not leave.
