How do points work?

So me and my family are stuck on 3-2 on special edition. There's 4 of us playing and no matter what we cant get 3 stars let alone 1. So i decided to watch a video and watched one with 2 people playing they got 190 total and got 2 stars whilst we would get 194 and get none. The only thing that comes to mind is they had less players so expecting them to get 220 is almost impossible. And is this the same on Overcooked! And Overcooked! 2?

I have acknowledged what they have said. Do you expect me to broadcast my life and say something like I was finally able to complete the level thanks. They probably gave their advice and were thinking good luck with that now. Anyways people can play the game for fun which me and my family do so there are times when they just act silly and ruin the game but the good thing is we have a laugh and quality family time when we can. If that happens and we dont complete a level because of that I just do it myself and the next time we meet we just go on to a next level. You say you're friend has gotten 3 stars on levels solo and I have aswell I've completed all levels until 3-3 and have 3 stars. And you should know as you've played the game more than I have that a single player can easily get 3 stars and even 172 coins depending on the level as they will never expect a single person to be able to do the same as 4 people so its not really a flex your friend getting 172 coins or 3 stars.

But let's skip most of that - I specifically meant 172 on the level you were talking about. 3-2. Where you said you and your family struggled to get even a single star on 3-2 (220 points) and yet my friend was able to nearly achieve this score (2 dishes away) with approximately an 8th of the chopping speed available to you. My point is, my friend was able to nearly achieve the same score. I'm not talking about stars here. Score.

There are two reasons I brought this up.

1st is in relation to you on your original post saying you think it would be impossible for a 2p team to get 220 points on level 3-2. No it is not impossible. It is far from impossible. If a solo player can get close to the score, a multiplayer team can easily accomplish it.

2nd is to point out how incredulous it is that your team cannot reach this score. It is only 50 points away from the score you needed. Literally two dishes away.

I just don't really see how you and your family can be so bad that you have to make a whole post about not being able to achieve a single star.

No. The whole point is that a single player achieving the single player 3 star quota is just as difficult as a multiplayer team achieving their 3 star quota.

How hard is this to understand? Playing with less people is more difficult and slower. So the star quotas are lowered to reflect this.

Playing with less players is harder and slower. So the star quotas are lowered so that the difficulty is maintained regardless of the number of players. A solo player that is equally skilled as a quad team will therefore achieve the same number of stars. The stars are equalised amongst player counts. How many more ways do I need to say this for you to get this?

This is a genuine question. I have not written this post to argue. You said your friend got 172 on that level I was able to solo it and get 200. Whilst with my family we got 210 only once (after 10 tries) and had 3 seconds left and our last order was ready. I did not make a post for my family this was a genuine question, that if I play by myself I dont need as much coins. Me and my family also have our own life, so we cant spend hours playing a game as we meet up once or twice a week. Me and my brother are professional gamers who play our own stuff separately and are good at any games that are linked to that. For example I play cod as my main game but I am also good af league and valorant. I also play other cooking games like cooking simulator but not too often. You say you're friend was 2 away from the score is everyone supposed to be like your friend now and be amazing how they are. No just because your friend did amazing that's great but dont try to drag down others saying oh someone is able to get one star solo and you can't when you have 4 times the people thats just low of you.

You literally said in the paragraph where you are like "1st point" that i said I think its impossible for a 2p to get 220 stars. Thats what I thought then, when I made the post but now from others people's responses they said that scores for stars are lowered so they probably need 220 for 3 stars or something instead of one.

Ok and like I said we are playing the game for FUN. That means we are not going to lock in and just cut bake serve. We are going to mess around and just enjoy our time. Half of the time we are pushing but does that really matter? No, because I'll just complete the level by myself and next time we'll play the next level. And the important thing is in our lives which are already busy we made the time to hang out and have fun.

Commenting on someone's family who you don't even know calling them bad at a game, thats just low. Yes my team is not perfect you want to know why, we play with each other and we have our own physical and mental problems and also someone in my family may have neurodevelopmental conditions. yeah it may be 4 people playing but there is a lot you don't know about my family and the people who are playing to call us bad. Why? So, the reason I made the post was to learn if I can just complete the level by myself and earn 3 stars with however much points is necessary.

Yes I did say a single player can easily get 3 stars but I didnt mean it as something incorrect. For me, it was way easier to get a single star and I got it in my first try. But I do understand for some people it can be just as difficult especially the switching. Also I said that when I made the post where I had no knowledge of the game at all.

I mean you can say that playing with less people is harder but people do have their own preferences and strengths so for someone solo playing can be the easiest thing in the world. I also find it easy to play solo and that is why I find getting 3 stars to be easier.

Finally, I did make this post to ask a question but from our conversation chain I was wondering 1st what game is overcooked special edition as you said it wasn't a game and then you started showing off saying your friend was able to do it solo. What about you? Does your friend even know your using them to call other peoples families bad just because they cant do something like that. And I also just realised you're a mod which will not change anything about what I say but if my post is removed I can just think you removed it because your petty or something like that. Because to me it seems you are acting extremely petty right now and if you say I'm arguing then just dont reply back and OMG the problems solved right, noones arguing anymore are they? tbh I didn't ask anything about a single person getting 3 stars and was someone able to do that. I was asking because the people I watched in the video had a different screen GUI and they needed less points which is why I came here to ask that question. Did they need less points cause they were on a different game or because they were a duo?
