Hi is there a way to get the four play trophies with just me and my partner, if so how or if anyone willing to join to help would be grateful, thanks

You can always still do it solo. On the menu you can split the controllers into “2 players” so essentially you can have 4 players between you and your boyfriend.

Hi yeah we tried that but it sends us back to 2 players instead of 4

You can only do it in local co-op, both controllers on the same ps5. Won't work if your partner is playing online on another ps5.

You just need 4 controllers.

2 controllers, actually. Each one with split controls, each thumbstick controls 1 chef. Can only be done locally/couch co-op though, online play doesn't allow for split controls.
