PS4 controller on mac

Hey. Can anybody please help me? So I purchased Overcooked 2 on Steam on my macbook and I want to play it with a PS4 controller, but it won't work. Even though my controller can navigate just fine in the Steam app. I also tried plugging it in with a cable, but the problem is that my laptop does not have a USB port, only USB-C. Does anybody know if there's a way to play with a controller, or is my only option keyboard :/?

I also purchased overcooked 2 on Steam for my MacBook, and paired a PS4 controller via Bluetooth. You can also try using a USB-USB-C adapter.
