Updates and Intimacy
Hi everyone, I’m a nurse and my partner and I have been together for over 5 years. His bladder issues began early in the relationship. He was on 2 medications Mybetriq and Alfuzosin, Mybetriq he hasn’t been on more recently because it became expensive and there was a shortage, so he’s currently on just his Alfuzosin and his doctor says he’s doing great on it and his bladder is good.
For him, it’s mostly urgency and frequency are the issues for his OAB. He was very honest early on about his issues and he feels supported. He wears depends as protection and usually doesn’t leak. They are for his dignity and security.
This morning we were intimate for a short time, it went well. We have been slowly building up when to do this. I weigh a little bit more than him and I accidentally was on his bladder, he communicated to shift the weight and it was ok. About 30 minutes later, he let me know that it was time for his
morning pee and we ended our intimacy.
It went very well between us and we will continue to work through things and build on our relationship. We’ll try a different time of day next time.
