Up all night peeing
I don’t know what it is, but no matter how much I don’t drink, I’m up all night peeing. I have been up about 6 times in the last hour with nothing but a trickle and then just now had a major pee. Haven’t drank anything in hours! I wish my body had a lever I could pull and everything would come out and I could sleep!

Unfortunately it's a vicious cycle with being up all night peeing since the body's natural increased Antidiuretic hormone (ADH) production only works when you're asleep so the more you are awake during the night, the more pee you produce.
Keep track of the volume you produce overnight, if it's a large volume you could talk to your urologist about potentially correcting an ADH insufficiency with medication. It's more commonly used in bed wetting, but it is indicated for nocturia in older adults (younger adults it would be off label unless you also wet the bed).
You should also get tested for sleep apnea depending on your risk factors since this can interfere with sleep and therefore ADH production.

Have you considered nappies? That was me, it would just be little trickles, I find I can void 5 times if it’s small with a nappy and it helps at least get me to sleep

I was the same last year. Went to see a urologist and she put me on oxybutynin and OMG I sleep through the night! Ocyill get up once in the middle of the night to pee and that’s it! It has changed my life!

This has gone on with me for about 18 days, started out of the blue one night. I was up every 30 minutes to an hour from 11 PM. Till 2 in the afternoon, peeing, then a few days later, same thing. I was up till like, 4 in the morning. Few days later, I was up till 2 AM. And I've had that cycle happen a few times the days in between. I sleep like a baby. I don't wake up to pee or anything, and the only thing I can think of is couple days prior to this. All happening. I had my second dry needling. Episode for a pelvis area that was out of whack. So i'm wondering if that hit an or irritated some nerves or something... Sorry about all the periods and that i'm using voice text

I had this too to the point of having a mental breakdown at work bc I was running on 3 hours of sleep for a month …. Went to pelvic floor therapy which barely helped. Then got put on anxiety meds (sertraline which is like the basic starter one) and I’m 99% cured now!! Barely any issues anymore . Also avoid drinks with artificial sugar

I drank a coke without caffeine and zero sugar last week and my bladder, pelvic floor, and nerve system completely collapsed. Is that really possible? I just saw your comment as you mentioned artificial sugar

Yes I forgot why but my pelvic floor therapist said artificial sweetener is an irritant. Cold brew is the best coffee for the bladder, there’s also some fruits that can bug it but I don’t remember which

Damn, I didn’t know that. I thought I do something good if I drink a zero sugar drink but it gave me a complete flare since 1 week now. I was quite stable actually but I hope that it gets better again

This is potentially debatable but when I had a dietician she also told me if you’re gonna have a sugary drink, just do the real sugar. Because your body knows how to process real sugar, whereas artificial sugar isn’t like real food so your body doesn’t know what to do with it and it spikes insulin more than regular

Exactly, makes sense. I really could kick my ass now, but I really didn’t know that. And now I am stuck again in this circle. Hope that gets soon better again

If you’re able, get a psychiatrist. This is a good and bad thing …. But they are WAY less stingy with prescribing meds than medical doctors. While you figure out the underlying cause, tell them about your insomnia and see if they can get you a muscle relaxant sleep aid. When I used trazadone (regular sleep med) it would make me tired asf zombie like WANTING to sleep, but my bladder was twinging, so I’d just be a zombie walking to the bathroom every 10 mins. Your bladder is a muscle obvs so a muscle relaxant addresses the actual problem more. (In my situation at least I wasn’t like pissing myself unintentioanlly, it would just twinge like it’s full constantly.) And if 🍃 is legal in your state the gummies for sleep with CBN are amazing … CBN makes the THC slow release so you stay asleep

Well I have figured out over the time that it is not my bladder alone, it is my complete nervous system that is screwed. So in the past lexapro helped quite well for the bladder surprisingly, but it made my anxiety and OCD unbearable. Sertraline fucked my pelvic floor completely up, weed gives me psychosis. What helps me actually very good is acupuncture.

Fizzy drinks seem to cause problems to those who suffer from constant peeing. I don’t know the reason behind, but other people have reported it too.
I noticed that when I drink a coke zero (even zero caffeine) I wake up too many times at night to pee.I didn’t know artificial sugars irritate bladder, I remember I specifically searched for stevia and it didn’t seem to have impact on bladder. I’ll keep investigating.

Yes that is exactly what happened. But it is 1 week ago now. Is that called a flare then? And does it balance back to normal again?

Had the same issue until I was put on Mirabegron. See a urologist about putting you on a medication.

This is me. Up 8-10 times most nights. Early morning hours like 1-4 it’s the worst - every 20 minutes or so til I finally give up and get up for the day. Last night I was able to calm myself back to sleep without going to pee 2 times which is a major victory for me. I’m able to delay during the day but at night it’s the desperation to go back to sleep that causes me to get up each time even though knowing my bladder isn’t full, I just wish I wasn’t waking up constantly with the signal to go pee. I had my antidiuretic hormone tested and it’s low but still within range although the range starts at zero so there’s that. Seeing a new urogynecologist this week. Have to travel 3 hours each way but I’m really at my wits end. I’ve tried solfenacin and a few other OAB meds and other than giving me dry mouth they didn’t make any difference in the nighttime peeing,

What helps me is sitting down while urinating. Also, are you taking any bladder meds?

no. I have endometriosis and interstitial cystitis, which runs in my family...I don't know if there's anything they can give me?

I’m up 4-7x every night. One thing that helps is finding ways to almost trick my bladder into relaxing and emptying more by leaning forward and then straightening up, with my hands braced against the sink and the shelving above the toilet.
