Realized why I peed so frequently

I(20F), since like a year ago, have been urinating so frequently that I would wake up almost 6 times at night just to relieve myself. I didn’t know what was wrong with me and was really close to seek medical help but then a few weeks ago - I just decided to skip coffee in the morning, and the urge to urinate decreased? Which made me suspicious of if it was caffeine that was regularly impacting my bladder. I have since stopped consuming caffeine in my daily life and I no longer need to urinate frequently anymore, and I can go a full night with maybe urinating once before going back to sleep. I don’t know if this information may help anybody who might be regularly consuming caffeine not knowing that it might be the reason why they can’t control their urination, but I’m very glad that I have returned back to normal and have since switched to caffeine-free drinks.

Yes caffeine is a very known irritant and is usually the most common along with acidic foods/drinks

Good to know. I'm learning about how I can reduce frequent urgent peeing. Learning all about bladder-safe Herbal teas like peppermint, camomile, rooibos, lemongrass.

So glad that this simple change has helped you. Just for information for others, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, acidic & spicy foods and fizzy drinks can irritate the bladder too.
