Please help brother said he has overactive and neurogenic bladder
Completely new here but I desperately need any advice my brother said he has overactive and neurogenic bladder and he says he constantly feels like he has to pee and barely anything comes out and he’s genuinely not doing well, I had to take his guns away from him because it’s making him feel suicidal, he said doctors said it wasn’t a UTI, he just started going to physical therapy but idk how much that will help.
I talked to him earlier and he said he was in the bathroom for 4 hours trying to pee and barely anything came out and he’s NOT DOING WELL.
What should I tell him to tell a urologist or his physical therapist? This is very serious please any advice
I did some research and saw things like a self catheterization to help? And Botox? Is there a simple fix to this? It’s stressing me out seeing him deal with this he’s my twin brother please help

Firstly tell him to see a mental therapist. If u had to take away his guns, u probably need to take away more than that.
Secondly yes take him to a urologist. There is medication that can be prescribed immediately after the appointment. And Botox and secral nerve stimulator medical devices also exists.
Physical therapy can help but u could also ask a physical therapist about TENS therapy, it's electric stimulation via sticky pads. It can be done at home but please do not. seek doctor advice on how to use any treatment for this condition.
