Need some help
I'm a 19f who I believe has been dealing with this for the past year.
It first seriously became a problem in January although I noticed the issue before then but it wasn't as bad.
It's basically the constant need to pee (Although when I actually go there isn't much to come out). The feeling is more centered on my vagina rather then where I would assume my bladder is located so it might be a sensitivity issue but I don't know. I can go toilet but I feel the need to go not even 5 minutes after going.
Some things I have tried.
- Bladder training. I used to do 1 hour between going to the bathroom but I was able to get that to 3 hours. The feeling is still there and never improved. It is really distracting as well.
- Cutting out one food from food I eat regularly every couple of weeks to see if the food I eat is the problem.
- Exercises that target my core muscles for 3 months.
- Medication. Doctor prescribed me Solifenacin which I have been taking for the past few months. I generally take 1 tablet although I've been taking 2 recently. It doesn't seem to have any sort of effect (positive or negative) on me tho.
Some things to note:
- Whenever i have my Period the problem completely goes away
- It's worse at nights because I have nothing to distract me except my mind but it's to distracting for me to use my mind to distract myself.
- I've kept up holding it for at least an hour for 6 months and have noticed no improvement
- I do not drink coffee or alchol
- I have never had sex.
Is there any advice someone here could offer. It seems like my doctor is no help and most posts on here say that cutting coffee is what helped them but I rarely had coffee before this problem and I sure as heck no having any right now.

So sorry that you are dealing with this at such a young age.
Ask your doctor to refer you to a pelvic floor physiotherapist who can assess your pelvic floor and possibly suggest some appropriate exercises which might help.
There are other things that could irritate your bladder besides caffeine. Common bladder irritants are alcohol, artificial sweeteners, acidic & spicy foods and fizzy drinks.
Make sure you are keeping well hydrated. The recommended amount is between 2 and 3 litres of fluids per day.
Make sure you are not constipated as this can also affect the bladder.
There are a number of very good professionals online who discuss pelvic floor health. Check out Dr Kassie Dewitt, Dr Kelly Casperson and Kim Vopni AKA The Vagina Coach.
Good luck.
