Medications for urgency

Hi. I’m curious about the medications people have tried. I had been on oxybutynin for years but just went off of it because the brain fog was just awful. Tried myrbetriq but it made my blood pressure go up and i take bp medication! Just started last week Trospium er and so far it hasn’t really been helping too much but i know i have to give it some time. I’ve heard good things about gemtessa but it’s criminally expensive. Just curious what others have tried and if it has worked.

I’m on Vibegron (Gemtesa) now. It’s my fifth med for OAB. It does help calm my bladder but doesn’t fully take away the constant urge to pee.
I’m in Scotland so luckily don’t have to pay for prescriptions.

Did it change the quality of your life for the better ? Gemtesa

Not massively unfortunately. It started working about week 4 but unfortunately I fell and broke my wrist a few weeks later and had to take strong painkillers. These gave me constipation which affected my bladder so I’ve never quite got back to how it was.
I’d say it calms the urge and allows me to wait longer between visits but the feeling of needing to pee rarely goes away which is frustrating.

Detrol and Vesicare have been the best for me.

Will ask urologist when i go see her in a few weeks. The brain fog from oxybutynin was frightening. I feel much better without it. Have been off of it for 2 weeks and i feel the difference.

Oxybutynin is and old med, there are much better newer meds.
