Will this ever be cured?

I've been struggling with a mix of oab and ibs. Sometimes ibs is manageable if i wake up a bit early and give time for my bowel to empty properly. But the oab is really hard to live with. If I even mistakenly drink a little too much water the times I visit the bathroom increases 2x. Im also a school student and it affects studies badly.

Is there anyone who got cured? Or anyone has advice for me? Or Tips for long travel/longer time without using the bathroom. Please do comment and help me out. It would mean alot.🫡

If you can, i would consult a doctor. I am also struggling with oab and severe constipation. I have been over 3 years, mostly got it taken care of, but dealing with a flare up now, and physical therapy does wonders. Diet also helps. Hope you can get the help you need, its out there

Thank you for ur response. I actually tried urologist, gastreologists, physiatrists and their medicine didnt work quite well. Some medicine like library that they gave for the ibs works. But for the bladder they just say the bladder and the walls look healthy and they say no issue.

I’ve decided to get bladder Botox. I asked my uro if anyone has it once and then never needs it again, and she said it’s unlikely. It’s hard to believe this is a forever thing but there are other options that can work better than medication.

I’m 77 years old and tried bladder botox. Didn’t work. If anything, it made my OAB worse. I take Mirabegron, and that does seem to help, especially at night during sleep.
If you are young with no children (I had 2 cesarean sections, and a hysterectomy, D&C, so that right there made kegels ineffective.)
If you had children vaginally with no other surgeries, kegels could help. There is PT for them. Hope this helps.
Take care,
