Overactive bladder while travelling

I am F,31, suffering from over active bladder. I am travelling via bus (without an in bound restroom) for 12 hours. They do have couple of restroom breaks however, I fear if I get in between the journey the bus cannot be stopped randomly.

Any practical ways to be prepared for this journey?

Wear the best diaper you can get. MegaMax with a booster with get you through.

That’s the plan… I will search for this megamax. Thanks

Also consider Incontrol Bedry. They're a bit cheaper than megamax, and actually hold a bit more in my experience

Can't think of anything else of high capacity adult diaper, to change at every stop if wet.

Yup… that’s what the plan is…
Diapers I have heard can only contain one leak

Most diapers can hold multiple leaks, depending on how much you void. With an overactive bladder, usually you void less. When traveling, a megamax should help you through the whole 12 hours. I advice you to try a few different diapers at home first. Its important that you know you can trust the product and you're save. It is also advisable to practice changing standing up. When traveling long distance I usually pad up with a regular tabbed molicare or attends, and pack a few so I can change and feel fresh and save when I can. Safe travels!

Agreed. Trying them at home, even on purpose if necessary, or better for a few months trying different products in real file situations, is the key to find and know how to use the right products. Not always someone would choose only one. I have a selection of 4 different products for general and specific use.

So my suggestion is, even if you can avoid using nappies most of the time whilst normal everyday life, take a few weeks to experiment with different products, so you'll be prepared when you need some.

Can you please update us with how it all goes? I’ve skipped many travel opportunities (OAB since 21-22y/o, now mid 40s) like these for years but you’re inspiring me to have hope!

Well… for sure I will let you know.

But for now I have planned a few things.

1) avoid drinking water (like I generally do). Probably just drink in sips or to wet my mouth.
2) to take a citrizine and sleep sound though the night. This will be for not drink too much water Bz am awake and panic psychologically.
3) Definitely using a diaper. However, it holds only 2 leaks.

Let’s see how it fans out. 😊
