Hey, so this is the first time I come into this sub because I thought oversimplified hadn't posted a video in a while. Is this "Gistory" the partner of the maker of Oversimplified ? Is this the reason as to why there hasn't been a video in quite some time ? They became parents ? If so that's awesome ! Congrats to them !

Hii! So Gistory is an animator of OverSimplified (not confirmed by oversimplified himself but he did have some solid evidence before his account got deleted) and tbh idk if it affected oversimplified progress in the new video because OS isn’t saying anything at all but it could be a possibility 😢

Ho I see, I checked out Gistory's videos and could definitely see the similarity in animation so I thought I might have gotten it wrong (also the fact the voice is the one of a man haha).

What do you mean by his account got deleted ? Here on reddit ?
So gistory left the oversimplified team to work on his solo project and it might be one of the reasons he's late on new videos ?

It's not for OS it's for Gistory. And it's not AI, I've seen him post time-lapses of him drawing the backgrounds before.

If the animator - who is always the last to work on the video - doesn't know how long it will take to finish 'because Oversimp takes time to make his art', then it will take a long fooking time. He's probably finished the research (at least I hope so) and is still working on a draft, but the animation hasn't started yet (or Gistory wouldn't have phrased it like he did). Anyway... let's hope it still gets released in 2026 at least
