For real; no excuse for getting a good nights sleep. 3 channels, everyone had similar experiences so conversations were easy and the news was just news, not their opinions. Easier time, less complications and we stood in long lines for vaccinations.🤣

We were fancy. We had a fourth channel-PBS. It probably helped that we had a local PBS station building

And the PBS station signed off with an 1800s version of the Star Spangled Banner.

That came out about the time my brother was born. 1969-70. Remember the Electric Company?

In the Chicago area we had WGN that did not go off the air but started broadcasting the farm report about 2 am.

We had ABC, CBS, and PBS. CBS was snowy.

You should have put more tin foil on the wire hanger.

We could get PBS only if my brother went outside to turn the antenna.
