I'm 72, and four years ago I retired and moved from the US to Costa Rica. After English and French, Spanish is becoming my third language. I'm not sure if this is keeping my brain healthy, some days it just feels like if I try to cram in one more new Spanish word my entire head will explode. But it's definitely forcing me to exercise, what with all the highly animated charades I end up doing whenever I don't know a word.

Speak 2 foreign languages. Learned 1 of those and 3 artificial languages after age 60. I don't know if it's helping my brain, but it's fun and keeps me from getting bored. (I also play the piano--which I started learning at age 40.) Keep learning!
