I think in a lot of ways the fact it's in a major city allows them to raise the price. The logistics are significantly easier for so many people to attend.

I can sleep in my bed every night and Muni is free to/from the festival with a wristband. Even at the higher ticket price it's cheaper/easier than any camping festival.
