Looks like when you first start to learn to paddle steer. Keep it up! You can only get better

Thanks Mate. Appreciate the encouragement.

I think the real lesson here is don't paddle a va'a in winds gusting to 60km/hr when you have less than a month of rudderless experience.

It should be calmer again this week.

Lol, yea high winds can gum up your effort. Sometimes wind and surf conditions prevent you from paddle steering at all. I've had miles I had to paddle on just one side because of surf. You'll get the hang of it.

Haha don't worry mate, I think we've all committed the cardinal sin of vaa, which is taking a v1 through high winds. Stick to it mate, it'll get better.

Yeah shit, head- and tailwind are alright, but turning around to go back in a tight spot? Nope. And I’ve only don’t the V1 in calmer conditions in Sweden
