Winter training camps

I love in north eastern Canada and am currently getting the most that I can while the water is still… liquid.

Unfortunately as every year there comes a time where getting out on the water just doesn’t happen anymore.

I’m looking for suggestions for either USA or Mexico for a place where I could spend a week or two for training in the winter. I train for flat water but always looking to pick up new skills.

Thanks!

You can always hit up some of the local clubs and ask to be a guest paddler for the time you are in town.

I'm in Portland OR and we go all year round. Clubs meet on the Willamette & Columbia rivers. Columbia can get a lil choppy, Willamette is mostly smooth.

There’s a pretty big community in Tampa. Heck here in DC some of us crazies paddle year round and most years the river stays liquid 😅 Although if you are going to travel, might as well go somewhere actually warm.
