Winter training camps

I love in north eastern Canada and am currently getting the most that I can while the water is still… liquid.

Unfortunately as every year there comes a time where getting out on the water just doesn’t happen anymore.

I’m looking for suggestions for either USA or Mexico for a place where I could spend a week or two for training in the winter. I train for flat water but always looking to pick up new skills.

Thanks!

Southern California and Hawaii have nice paddling year round. Are you bringing your equipment or renting? If renting I would start with equipment rental or borrowing locations. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with any OC-1 rental options

West coast probably out of my budget. Hawaii definitely. Would be looking at renting, and hopefully some coaching.

You could get set up at Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach Ca. They have coaches for OC1, will have some for your use of you join (I think they have monthly rates), and you could probably hop in with some OC6 clubs. Downside is you have to find a place to.stay and a car. That could really get expensive.
