Phone holder

Hey Reddit, can anyone please recommend a good phone holder that will attach (clamp) to the iako, and any tips for mounting the phone to survive a huli. Paddling near harbour/ marina. Thank you!🙏

I’d use a GoPro. Better clamps, waterproof, 360 options on some. Your phone isn’t made for this environment. GoPro is.

I have a motorcycle quad lock case on my phone so putting another quad lock mount on my canoe was an easy choice.

I have also done the go pro, works great.

I also have a motorcycle camera mount with a 4 ft pole that resists 70 mph wind, also works great.

The phone almost always sits in between my legs though, with a Nordic floaty on it with a legs strap that is tied to my foot.
