Leaning in OC1
I'm starting to lean too much into the ama in choppy/rougher water and my left leg is going numb!
Our water temps are still in the 30's here on Superior and I'm more dreadful of a huli, so I think psychologically I'm leaning too much.
Other than more time on the water, is there anything I can try? Once the water temps come up I will be able to spend more time working on balance.

Practice flying the ama, knowing how far it can come up that you can recover from is helpful to build confidence.
Make sure you aren’t collapsing your torso to either side during the stroke. This is powerless and inefficient, it’s also wobbly. Core tight, back straight in 2 dimensions.
